Ever been lost in the woods? My good friend JT Lehman of Alpenflo leads regular navigation and route planning courses. On this particular day we ventured into the Mount Hood National Forest, up Yocum Ridge, and down to Ramona Falls.

Started with the basics: how to read a map and use a compass.

Then we applied the skills we had learned and found some epic Mount Hood viewpoints.

Trail Running in the PNW never felt or looked so good!

Next we practiced safe glacial stream fording. Michael here got an A+

Soaked in the views.

Found snow.

Overall, had a fantastic day in the wild getting confident with new and old skills.
